Web Application and SMS Terms and Conditions


  1. These terms and conditions apply to Jazbec Volleyball, also known as Jazbec Summer College Volleyball Practices.
  2. Acceptance of Terms: By accessing or using our web application that supports SMS messaging, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the application.
  3. User Obligations:
    1. You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to use our web application.
    2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
  4. SMS Messaging:
    1. We utilitize SMS text messaging, also known as "A2P" (application-to-person) messaging, to communicate between our web application and users (players).
    2. SMS Messages Our Web Application May Send You: SMS messages are sent via our "10DLC campaign" (a telecom carrier technical definition) on the following occasions:
      1. In response to your stated interest to join the program (Opt-In). See “JOIN” below.
      2. To confirm we have received your waivers and payment, indicating that you can now begin to request your practice dates in the web application.
      3. To confirm your attendance at an upcoming practice at which you requested to play.
      4. To invite you to attend an upcoming practice in which there is an opening for a player with your position skills (Setter, OH, etc.).
      5. To confirm that we have received your request to cancel your attendance at an upcoming practice.
      6. To notify you that an upcoming practice has been cancelled. This is very rare and is not likely to occur.
    3. SMS Messages You May Send Our Web Application: You can send us the following SMS messages.
      1. “JOIN”: Text JOIN to opt-in to receive recurring texts. Send this in response to the Opt-in message sent to you above. You cannot text JOIN to us if you did not receive an Opt-In invitation text. If interested in joining, please fill out the contact section on vb.jazbec.io/contact.
      2. “STOP”: Text STOP to cancel. Send this when you no longer want to receive text messages from the web application (Opt-out). Please note that you will then need to manually watch your play status concerning every upcoming practice in the web application. Additionally, you risk not being invited to play on occasions when there is an opening for a player with your position skills.
      3. “HELP”: Text HELP for help. Send this if you have any questions or problems with regard to the applications texts.
    4. Message frequency varies as a function of your usage of the web application as described above.
    5. Pricing: Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible to check with their carrier to determine whether you will be charged to receive or send any of these messages. We do not charge for the use of the SMS messaging feature in the web application.
    6. Carrier Required Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
    7. You agree to use the SMS messaging feature responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    8. We reserve the right to monitor and moderate SMS messages to ensure compliance with our terms and to maintain the integrity of our web application.
  5. Intellectual Property:
    1. Our web application, including all text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and other content, is the property of the application owners and is protected by intellectual property laws.
    2. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or publicly display any content from the application without prior written permission from the owners.
  6. Limitation of Liability:
    1. Our web application is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
    2. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our web application.
  7. Modification and Termination: We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the application after the changes will signify your acceptance of the modified terms.
  8. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
